7 Juveniles Guilty In Eastern Pennsylvania High School Brawl

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Seven students have pleaded guilty in juvenile court to simple assault and riot charges stemming from an Oct. 25 brawl outside an eastern Pennsylvania high school that left two 16-year-old victims with concussions.

One 16-year-old boy was sentenced to a locked-down juvenile treatment center at Monday's hearing in Lehigh County Juvenile Court. The other six must be sentenced within 20 days. All remain in juvenile detention or on house arrest.

A 15-year-old still awaits a juvenile court hearing and four other students, three 18-year-olds and a 17-year-old, still face hearings in adult court.

Police say the victims were kicked, punched and pistol-whipped near Dieruff High School in Allentown.

Investigators said the fight began with an argument in the lunchroom after one of the students threw something at another boy.
