Want To Take Out Your Election Frustration? There's An App For That

by KYW Tech Editor Ian Bush

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- If you've had it up to HERE with one or both major presidential candidates, there's a way to register your disapproval via a pie to the face -- without running afoul of the Secret Service.

Dislike Donald?

"You can hit him with a water balloon."

Hate Hillary?

"Hillary was getting hit way more times with pies in the face."

'Angry Voter 2016' provides some digital stress relief:

"Certainly, we don't want to see people physically hurting other people, so let's just get it out -- all our frustration and anger -- through a fun game," said Marc Kramer with St. Joe's Haub School of Business.

He came up with the idea for the free iOS and Android app, programmed by Drexel senior Mansoor Siddiqui.

"You see Clinton on one side at a podium and Trump on the other," explained Kramer.

The app asks you to pick who's worse and tap the 'hit' button:

"And you see their heads jerk back in surprise as they get hit," Kramer continued.

Both candidates have been pelted with pies, water balloons, even snowballs more than 50,000 times each.

The volley that smarts the most, though, will come on Election Day.
