Malcolm Jenkins Holding Third Annual Blitz, Bow Ties And Bourbon

PHILADELPHIA, PA (CBS) — There are three things Malcolm Jenkins enjoys and that's blitzing, putting on a fine bow tie and sneaking a bourbon here and there during the season. But there is also something that outweighs that trio, and it's something that Jenkins has continued to do since he's been with the Philadelphia Eagles: That's helping people.

On Monday, Oct. 24, Malcolm Jenkins Foundation will be holding his third annual Malcolm Jenkins Foundation Blitz, Bow Tie and Bourbon Fundraiser event at 6:30 p.m. at the Union Trust Building on 717 Chestnut Street. For information, you can go to http://themalcolmjenkinsfoundation.org/.

Eagles' long snapper Jon Dorenbos will be the MC.

Players that confirmed to be there along with Malcolm and Dorenbos are Jordan Matthews, Connor Barwin, Nolan Carroll, Jaylen Watkins, Rodney McLeod, Chris Maragos, Terrence Brooks and others.

"This is something that's really important to me," Jenkins said. "Each year is grows and becomes bigger, and with Jon as the emcee this year, I'm sure we're going to have a great turnout. For me personally, though, it's all about helping the kids. That's what I set out to do with my foundation and it's something I back with my time and effort.

"I've been pleased with great parents and a great life. If I can help someone in need to make a better life for themselves, I know I'm doing something right. This is an event that has a little of everything. NFL players, some fine bourbon and Jon's magic. Every time Jon does something on TV or in person, it amazes me. Everyone there will be blown away, and it's all for a great cause."
