Phillies Play Final Road Game Of Season Tonight In Atlanta
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies will look to avoid a sweep tonight down in Atlanta as they play their final road game of the season against the Braves.
Phillies are 1-5 on what has been a really ugly road trip. It's a trip that has included a 17-0 loss to the Mets on Sunday, last night's 12-2 loss to the Braves, the 7-6 loss to Atlanta on Tuesday which featured the Phillies blowing a 6-0 lead. Even the game they won on this trip, Saturday against the Mets, the Phils nearly blew a 10-0 lead before holding on for a 10-8 win.
Jeremy Hellickson will make his final start of the season on the mound for the Phillies. The veteran right-hander is 12-10 with a 3.75 ERA. In his last start, Hellickson took the loss (10-5) against the Mets on Friday, allowing six runs in 4 1/3 innings.
The Braves will counter on the mound with right-hander Josh Collmenter who is 3-0 with a 4.19 ERA.
Phillies are 70-88 on the season. The Braves are 65-92.
