Ben Simmons Says He's Gained 33 Pounds Of Muscle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Ben Simmons is jacked.

When Simmons started preparing for the NBA Draft in March following his freshman season at LSU, the 6'10" point-forward weight about 217 pounds. Now, the 20-year-old rookie says he weighs 250 pounds.

"I'm a lot stronger. When I started getting ready for the draft I was about 217 [pounds] and now I'm around 250," Simmons said via CSNPhilly.com.

Simmons has worked out this summer with LeBron James, who he shares an agent with in the Klutch Sports Group, and Dwyane Wade. Three weeks ago, Simmons posted this photo in the gym with James, Wade, Richard Jefferson, and Jordan McRae.

Simmons will make his NBA debut on Tuesday, October 4th in preseason action against the Boston Celtics. He'll make his regular season debut on October 26th at the Wells Fargo Center against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
