Major Van Winkle's Eagles Rap On 94WIP Morning Show
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Major Van Winkle is his real name.
Van Winkle was named after the late, great Phillies coach, scout and official Maje McDonnell. His uncle is the lead singer of the The Soul Survivors.
Van Winkle is a rapper himself and performed this rap on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show ahead of the Eagles-Bears Monday Night Football game. He called it "spoken bird poetry."
"I ain't talkin' about the Bears, bear with me 'til the end," Van Winkle rapped. "We got the rookie of the year. Who? Mr. Wentz, Mr. Wentz."
