Jay Lloyd's Getaway: Fall Fishing

By Jay Lloyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Fish are jumpin' and the living is easy. It's time to plan a fall fishing trip.

Barring a hurricane, the coming weeks should provide great fishing conditions offshore, on the bays and lakes. Relaxing with a rod in a beach chair at Cape May Point, the blues are practically jumping in your lap.

"It was a great day," said one fisherman. "I ran out of bait."

For offshore or Delaware Bay Fishing, charter boats out of Cape May can put you on the water for $50 to $90 a person. They'll even provide the bait. Bring your own rod or rent theirs.

Look up the charter boats Cape May Lady and Miss Chris. Or go out of Lewes Delaware with charters leaving from Fisherman's Wharf.

If you're looking for those tasty stripers, head for the Chesapeake Bay and Fish Fear Us charters at Rock Hall, Maryland. Or just pull up a beach chair and cast the Cape.
