More Road Closures Take Effect As Philly Prepares For MIA Festival

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thousands are expected to pack the Parkway this weekend for the Made In America music festival. So it will be increasingly difficult to get around.

All week, there have been various street closures to get ready for the festival. This morning, more of them kicked in.

The outer lanes of the Ben Franklin Parkway will close between 20th Street and Eakins Oval. 21st, 22nd, and 23rd Streets will be closed at Pennsylvania Avenue and inbound Kelly Drive traffic will have to exit at Fairmount Avenue.

There's no parking allowed on Pennsylvania Avenue, Park Towne Place and many of the streets in the area.

If you go this weekend and need a ride home, the ride-sharing company Lyft is offering concertgoers two free rides of up to $10.
