"The Young And The Restless" Celebrates 11,000 Episodes On September 1

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Daytime's #1 drama for 27 consecutive years, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS reaches a remarkable milestone on Thursday, Sept. 1, with its 11,000th episode!

In the special episode, fans will be treated to appearances by Y&R Co-Creator Lee Phillip Bell and television legend Nichelle Nichols ("Star Trek"). For the residents of Genoa City, the drama continues as relationships are tested, scores are settled, and lives are changed forever.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS airs weekdays (12:30-1:30 PM, ET; 11:30 AM-12:30 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The series celebrated its 43rd anniversary on March 26, 2016.
