Authorities: 1 Dead, 1 In Custody Following Shooting At Atlantic City's Tanger Outlets
ATLANTIC CITY (CBS) -- Police say one person is dead and another is in custody following a shooting at The Walk at the Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City.
Police say the male suspect suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound and is in custody. Authorities identified him as 55-year-old Lewis Maisonet of Somers Point N.J.
Maisonet remains hospitalized and was listed in critical condition.
Officials identified the victim of the shooting as 26-year-old Christopher Romero of Absecon, NJ.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation reveals the shooting involves a domestic-related matter.
Police say there was no ongoing threat to the public at the time of the incident. A weapon was recovered.
The shooting remains under investigation.
UPDATE. Victim has died from his injuries. A male suspect, who sustained a self inflicted gunshot wound, is in custody. Weapon recovered.
