West Chester Woman Wins Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- A West Chester woman has won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. Eyewitness News tagged along as the prize patrol moved in with the good news.

You've seen it on television. You've seen the cheers and the tears. So, does waking up to millions really happen?

On Wednesday morning, Eyewitness News found out as we followed along with Dave Sayer and the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol to surprise a lucky winner, Diane Jehanian, with $1 million.

Do you think the Publishers Clearing House and the reactions aren't real?

How do you know they're home, we asked Sayer. "We don't. That's the suspense," he said. And then, the moment of truth.

After no answer at Diane's front door, we walked around and checked the the garage. We found Diane's husband Greg in the back. Maybe, he knows where she is.

She was at work, so off we went with Greg and the Prize Patrol.

Greg called Diane down to the doors and her reaction was priceless. "She always told me, send those things in," Greg said.

"It's my anniversary gift to my husband," Diane said. "I'm just so grateful. I truly am."

Looks like it always pays to listen to your wife.
