Report: Eagles Still Looking For More Receivers

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles are still looking for more help at wide receiver, according to a report from the NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

According to the report, they even put in a claim for Delaware Valley University standout Rasheed Bailey, who made an impact with the Eagles last summer and was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday.

The Eagles acquired second-year wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham for offensive lineman Dennis Kelly this week. Green-Beckham joins Jordan Matthews, Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff, Rueben Randle, Chris Givens, T.J. Graham, and preseason standout Paul Turner in a crowded position on the Eagles' depth chart.

Turner, 23, has nine catches for 78 yards in the preseason, including a ridiculous one-handed grab on Thursday night against the Steelers which really initiated some raised eye brows.

Matthews, the Eagles' top wideout, injured his left-knee during training camp and has not played in preseason. His regular season status is still somewhat unknown.

Huff, a 2014 third-round pick, has had two underwhelming NFL seasons with the Eagles and has continued to disappoint this summer. Graham, 27, is playing on his fifth NFL team in as many seasons and hasn't made an impact this preseason.

Randle, 25, has played the last four seasons with the New York Giants catching 188 balls for 2,644 yards and 20 touchdowns. But so far in preseason, the former second-round pick out of LSU has been unimpressive, accumulating just three catches for 13 yards on five targets in two preseason games.

Givens, 26, is another fifth-year wide receiver who has some sort of NFL track record (107 catches, 1,779 yards, 5 touchdowns). However, the six-foot, 203 pound wide out with 4.41 speed has yet to catch a ball for the Eagles in preseason and has curiously been targeted just once.

With eight receivers vying to make the final 53-man roster, it seems somewhat surprising that the Eagles are still reportedly looking to add more.
