Police K9 Helps Find Missing 12-Year-Old

WILMINGTON, DE (CBS) -- A missing 12-year-old was reunited with her family after a police K9 picked up the child's scent.

The individual went missing Tuesday evening around 6 p.m. Their family told New Castle County Police the child was last seen leaving their house on the unit block of Locust Road following an argument.

Master Corporal Chad Carter and K9 Ax began their search after 9 p.m. Officials say Carter provided Ax with a pillow case from the child's bed so he could get a scent.

Less than an hour later Ax led Carter near a school where they found the child in good health and reunited them with their family.
