Clinton Swamps Trump In Latest F&M PA Poll

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Hillary Clinton has opened a double-digit lead over Donald Trump in a new Franklin and Marshall College Poll of Pennsylvania voters.

The new Franklin and Marshall College Poll shows Hillary Clinton leading Donald Trump among likely Pennsylvania voters by an 11-point margin, 49-percent to 38-percent.

Clinton's lead among all registered voters is 13-points.

F&M Poll Director Terry Madonna says Clinton has benefited from a convention bounce and from missteps by Trump, including the controversy over his reaction to remarks by the Muslim parents of a slain American soldier that has not subside:

"In fact, it only grew in importance throughout the weekend when the Franklin and Marshall College Poll was in the field."

In the race for US Senate, the F&M Poll shows Democrat Katie McGinty leading by one percentage point over Republican incumbent Pat Toomey among likely voters, and by eight points among all registered voters.
