Breakfast In The Sky Offers A Fine Dining Experience 150 Feet Above Sea Level

By Pat Gallen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- During the summer months, what's better than spending your morning on the beach? Spending your morning above the beach.

And in Wildwood you can do just that.

Maggie Warner says, "Well Breakfast in the Sky is a very unique offering we have here at Morey's Piers where you can dine 150 feet above sea level. It is a gourmet breakfast with white linens, china...we're pulling out all of the stops."

We're not talking just eggs and toast here, their breakfast menu items range from Belgian waffles to a shrimp and lobster omelet.

The view, and the food, are drawing people in from all over the area for all different reasons.

Deborah Why, of York, Pennsylvania says, "I'm going up and we're going to have breakfast on the Ferris wheel. It's my favorite ride and the only one I'll go on!"

Peter and Susan Funk, of Forked River, New Jersey are also taking part.

Peter says, "It's a good way to surprise my wife on my birthday."

Pat: 'On your birthday? How does that work?'

Peter: "It works out good for me!"

The Chappell family from Franklinville, New Jersey has done this before., and they just had to come back.

"We love it, it's awesome. The food is awesome. It's such a neat experience. It's something different to do. Then, we go to the waterpark after."

A beautiful morning and a beautiful meal. For two people, it is $90.
