KYW Newsradio Presents: Dems After Dark: Day 3

By John McDevitt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Democratic National Convention parties have been happening all around town.

From block parties, to bars and other creative venues, convention goers have been celebrating all over the city.

At the Barnes Museum, Instagram and Spotify threw a private party. Aerialists with The Philadelphia School of Circus Arts welcomed guests walking down the red carpet. Inside, guests celebrated to the wee hours of the morning.

But not everyone everyone went to lavish parties. The hotel bar was the place to be, according to Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney of New York.

"Because the New York Delegation and the Virginia Delegation, home of Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, we are in the same hotel so we are sitting there plotting the next step of the election."

She says the DNC donkeys around town statues are a nice touch.

"We love the donkeys. The donkeys are the symbol of the Democratic party and it was quite welcoming to have a New York donkey there to say hello."
