Ben Simmons Bought A Kid Sneakers At Kicks USA

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Here's a fun, pick-me-up, Monday feel good Ben Simmons story.

Simmons was shopping at Kicks USA and bought a kid $150 sneakers for no reason, according to boy's older brother via Uproxx.com. Simmons, 20, of course, is the first overall pick of the Sixers and has an average annual salary around $6 million, not including his contract with Nike.

The older brother tells the story on YouTube (NSFW language):

"I was like, 'Hey what up, Ben.' And he was like, 'What's going on?'"

The older brother and narrator of the video was explaining how he did not have any money to spend and was just browsing the store, as a sneaker fan, with his younger brother.

"I still don't want to spend none of my money because I didn't get much in my check," the narrator of the video said. "The manager of Kicks USA happened to be in the store, so I asked him, 'Are you guys hiring?' And I started to fill out an application.

"My little brother goes over to where he [Simmons] is and he starts looking at shoes...Ben Simmons actually starts talking to my little brother. He was like, 'Oh what kind of shoes do you like?'"

Eventually, Simmons and the narrator's brother picked out a pair of shoes that fit and Simmons bought the shoes for the boy.

"Ben Simmons checked to see if they fit or not!"

In the YouTube video, there is a Snapchat video of Simmons handing the boy the shoes and a photo of Simmons with both boys.
