Free Guac And More: Deals Offered During The DNC
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Who knew that the Democratic National Convention coming to town would mean free guac, appropriately themed drinks and tons of restaurant discounts?
Business owners are hoping these offerings and more will attract some of the 50,000 visitors expected to visit Philadelphia this week for the DNC. The city as a whole is determined to make the event more profitable than the Papal visit was last September when much of Philly was closed off.
To help spread the word that Philadelphia is staying open, the Host Committee for the DNC started the hashtag #DNCdeals for businesses to use for socializing their specials and discounts.
