Jon Gosselin Offers Explanation For Employment At TGI Friday's

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Jon Gosselin, former reality TV star on the show Jon & Kate Plus 8, joined 103.7 KVIL in Dallas to address his employment at TGI Friday's.

Gosselin wanted to address reports that he was working at the restaurant in Lancaster, and wanted it to be known that he was not there for the money. It was a passion of his that drew him to the position he said.

The former TV star says his love for cooking is what led him to the accepting the job.

"I love cooking, so my buddy calls me and asks. He needs help in the kitchen. so I was like yeah," Gosselin said, maintaining that the restaurant hired him, not because of his name, but because he can cook.

Gosselin said that he only worked at TGI Friday's two days out of the week and would donate his check to charity. However, the attention that reports have given to the job, has prompted Gosselin to leave the job. "Now, I got to leave a job that I was passionate about."

The relationship that Gosselin's fame was built on, was also a topic of discussion. He talked about the disagreements that he has with Kate over their children and noted that things would have be worked out at some point in court.
