Eagles Fans Approve Of Jeffrey Lurie
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Jeffrey Lurie bought the Eagles on May 6th, 1994 for $195 million.
22 years later and the Eagles, now reportedly worth $2.4 billion, are still Super Bowl-less. And after the Chip Kelly saga -- where Lurie gave the ex-Eagles head coach complete personnel control and then fired him 15 games later -- the notion that Lurie, 64, is one of the better owners in sports is dwindling.
On Monday, a report circulated that Lurie was the "driving force" in the team's decision to re-sign quarterback Sam Bradford indicating that the Eagles' owner is looking to become more active in personnel decisions. But apparently, fans are fine with that.
In a poll published on the SportsRadio 94WIP Facebook page on Monday, 62-percent of fans still approve of Lurie.
