Jahlil Okafor To Be Limited During USA Basketball Mini-Camp

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor will be limited to non-contact activity and drills during this week's USA Basketball Men's National Team mini-camp in Las Vegas, NV, the Sixers announced on Monday.

Okafor, 20, underwent a knee procedure in March due to a small tear of the meniscus in his right knee. The Sixers say Okafor's recovery is still on schedule.

Report: Jahlil Okafor Still A Trade Target For Celtics

"Jahlil has been in the gym working hard and has made great strides in his recovery and return to action, but he's simply not in the kind of basketball condition required to compete at this level of competition," said Sixers President of Basketball Operations Bryan Colangelo. "Our sports science and medical team feels that holding him out of scrimmage situations is in everyone's best interest at this point of the summer."
