Reminder: Today Marks Last Day To Get SEPTA Pass Refund

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's Day three of the SEPTA Squeeze on the regional rail lines. It's also deadline day for passengers to turn in their passes for a refund.

"The SEPTA command Center, open during snow storms and other emergencies, is operational. There are delays, there are packed trains, some passing through regional rail stations."

When asked if there was anything that could be done to fix the problem, Jim Fox, Chief Control Center Officer said, "Trying to have additional equipment standby and ready in case we need to pick up people. Yesterday, Glenside, Jenkintown, Elkins Park area was very congested because it is closer to the city."

And during this morning's rush, three to four trains passed Jenkintown and an available train was sent there. Fox also says there's room on the subway lines and buses riders should seriously consider using those modes.

Finally, today is the deadline to get a full refund for Weekly or Monthly Trail Passes. You have to mail your pass in to SEPTA postmarked by today. July 7, 2016.

For more info on the refund or getting credit, visit SEPTA's website.
