Report: Sixers Sign Spanish PG Sergio Rodriguez
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly signed Spanish point guard Sergio Rodriguez to a one-year contract worth $8 million, according to Shams Charania of the Vertical.
Rodriguez, 30, was the 27th overall pick of the Phoenix Suns in 2006. He spent four seasons in the NBA with the Suns, Portland Trail Blazer, and New York Knicks. In the NBA, Rodriguez averaged 4.3 points, 2.9 assists, and 1.3 rebounds per game.
Last season, playing for Real Madrid, Rodriguez averaged 10.8 points and 5.9 assists per game, while shooting 48-percent from the field and 38-percent from three.
