Phillies' Minor League Squad To Wear Cat-Covered Jerseys

LAKEWOOD, N.J. (CBS) -- Brace yourself cat lovers. The ultimate jersey for feline fanatics is now a reality.

The Phillies Single-A affiliate, Lakewood BlueClaws will don cat-covered unis on Saturday, July 9...or as it has been called, Caturday.

The team will wear the jerseys as they take on the West Virginia Power.

Jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit BlueClaws Charities. A limited quantity are going to be available online next week, but if you want a jersey, you are encouraged to attend the game.

For $2, your cat can join you at the game as long as they are kept in a case or on a leash.

You can also walk away from the game with a new cat. SAVE Rescue Shelter of Toms River will be on hand, taking donations and will have cats available for adoption.
