Riders React To SEPTA Announcement
by Tim Jimenez
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Septa's surprise announcement is a stunner for its customers, and they're bracing for the worst.
Dorothy, who usually takes the Paoli/Thorndale line, says she already has an alternate in mind, in the form of the bus.
"They'll have the 106 that goes to Paoli. That's gonna be packed too, so either way, I'm gonna be cramped, but I'm going to work," she said.
Heather only takes the train to work on weekends, but she can only imagine what will happen Tuesday and beyond.
"Seems like it's going to impact the daily regular commuters pretty hard. Maybe some unexpected delays," she said.
The railcars being looked at, the Silverliner V cars, are relatively new. They first started to roll out in 2010 to replace cars that first started running in the 1960s.
