Police Arrest Teen In Connection With Warminster Tire Slashings

WARMINSTER TWP., Pa. (CBS) -- Warminster Township Police have identified a teenager as the person responsible for slashing tires on 59 different cars on Saturday, June 18th.

After viewing surveillance footage, detectives filed charges against 19-year-old Collin Francis Jones. The Southampton native has been charged with criminal mischief, possession of an instrument of crime, and other related charges.

The total damage Jones is being accused of causing is close to $37,000.

Police say the suspect was already in custody at the Bucks County Correctional Facility in connection with a separate incident.

In that case, authorities say he stabbed a juvenile on his arm causing visible injury.

For this altercation, the teen was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, and simple assault.

He was remanded to BCCF on $25,000.00 bail.

Arraignment on those charges is pending. So far, no court date has been set.
