Woman Stabbed On Schuylkill River Trail

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a woman was stabbed once in the forehead Thursday on the Schuylkill River Trail in Center City.

This happened just after 3 p.m. near Walnut Street.

Police say the 24-year-old victim was taken to Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition. Authorities say she was treated for a 3-inch laceration on her forehead.

No arrests have been made.

Police say the victim was walking on the trail with another person when they noticed that the suspect was following them. Officials say that as the victim began to go up the stairwell to Walnut Street, the suspect followed her and said "you don't know anything," before slashing her forehead.

Police do not know what the object was that was used in the incident.

This isn't the first crime at the trail. Last month a 34-year-old man was charged with Indecent Exposure after a witnesses say they saw him lying on the ground with his private area exposed and partaking in a lewd act alone.
