Vincent Velasquez Leaves Games After Two Pitches

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Phillies pitcher Vincent Velasquez left Wednesday's game against the Cubs after just two pitches with "right bicep soreness," according to multiple reports.

Velasquez's first, and only, two pitches were 86 mph fastballs. Velasquez has averaged 94 mph on his heater this season.

Velasquez is 5-2 with a 3.67 ERA in 11 starts this season. However, Velasquez has failed to pitch at least five innings or more in any of his three previous starts, not including today. Over those three starts, he's allowed 12 earned runs.

Brett Oberholtzer replaced Velasquez for the Phillies in the first inning.
