Unique Anti-Pull Dog Leash Invented By Local Man Selling On HSN
WORCESTER, Pa. (CBS) - A Montgomery County man is bringing his dog leash design to the national airwaves Friday.
It will be sold on the Home Shopping Network.
Michael Young from Worcester invented the "Wacky Walk'r" -- a leash with anti-pull technology, made from exercise tubing.
"When the dog pulls, the Wacky Walk'r responds," Young explains, "and gently corrects the dog, pulling him back in a gentle way. Easier on his neck, back and spine."
And he says it's also good on the walkers' shoulders, lower back and elbows.
Temple University grad and South Jersey native Angelina Jimenez is a lifestyle specialist for the network and will be selling the product on the air.
She says there is also a second handle on the Wacky Walk'r that can be put to good use:
"(It) can also be used to restrain your dog with a seat belt so your dog isn't jumping from seat to seat to seat and ending up on your lap."
Angelina's black lab "Bayou" will be helping her out on the set.
