Hillary Clinton Makes Campaign Stop In Montgomery County

By Kristen Johanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thousands are expected to cast their ballot next week in Pennsylvania for which candidate they want to represent their party for 2016 Presidential election, leaving precious time for candidates to swarm the state and tilt the scale in their favor.

Hillary Clinton held an event Friday morning in Montgomery County to discuss local economic issues.

Inside a small Jenkintown cafe, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton discussed challenges facing Pennsylvania voters and their families.

"We have to do more to create more affordable options for kids with special educational challenges."

She was surrounded by dozens of women and their children, and was joined by equal pay advocate Lilly Ledbetter, who spoke about balancing the gender wage gap.

"We still don't have paid sick days, we still don't have maternity days, we still don't have a lot of the other things that a lot of the other countries do."

Clinton said much of her campaign is focused on equal pay legislation. Among other issues she discussed: gun control, health care and education funding.

"Every child deserves a really good education, no matter where that child lives."

The Pennsylvania primary is April 26th.

Clinton will hold a rally tonight in Scranton and will be joined by Senator Bob Casey, who endorsed the candidate last year.
