Crossing Guard Struck And Killed In Trenton

TRENTON, Nj. (CBS) -- According to Trenton Police, a crossing guard died Monday afternoon after being struck by a Chevy Avalanche.

Officials say the vehicle was traveling at a "very high rate of speed," traveling northbound on Route 129.

Authorities say that the driver did remain on the scene after the accident.

Emergency crews are on the scene of the accident, investigating the cause.
