Penn Museum Revives 'Legends Of The Hidden Temple' And This Time It's Not For Kids

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's a flashback to the 90's. The Penn Museum is bringing back the popular Nickelodeon show 'Legends of the Hidden Temple' – but with a twist.

While there's a chance you watched it as a child, this time the experts at Penn are asking the adults to join in on the fun.

In this take on the hit show, set to take place on April 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m, attendees at stations throughout the museum will be tested with a variety of challenges, from competitions to scavenger hunts and more, just like in the show.

Guests should be prepared for some head to head combat as they are split into teams like the Blue Barracudas and the Orange Iguanas before departing into the unknown.

Throughout the game, staff from the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, the American Philosophical Society Museum, Eastern State Penitentiary, the Mütter Museum of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, and the Wagner Free Institute of Science will be testing competitors' physical and mental strength.

Fierce participants will gain points for their team by completing various challenges during an action-packed, 30-minute window of competition. To heat things up even more temple guards will be where you least expect them, waiting to capture you while on your way to victory.

Unlike the actual show, this time its adults only. Guests must be 18 years or older to attend and take part in this once in a lifetime challenge.

The event follows the recent announcement that Nickelodeon will be reviving the show into a movie set to be released in November of 2016.
