Jahlil Okafor Underwent Successful Surgery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia 76ers rookie center Jahlil Okafor underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to repair a "slight tear of the meniscus in his right knee," the team announced on Wednesday.

Okafor, 20, was averaging 17.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game. He will begin rehabbing tomorrow.

Sixers head physician Dr. James Andrews performed the procedure.
