Students React To Villanova's Big Win Over Iowa

By Mike Dougherty

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Villanova is heading to the Sweet 16 for the first time since going to the Final Four in 2009. Students are elated.

The Wildcats took one more step in knocking the March Madness monkey off their backs with an impressive, dominant performance over the Iowa Hawkeyes.

"We're going after them. We're on the floor, trying to get it. There's a lot of determination, and that's really wonderful to see," said a fan watching from the Connelly Center.

Looking ahead, fans say bring on the Hurricanes:

"I think they matchup very well. Miami is kind of a smaller team and a lot of guard play, similar to us, so it'll be interesting," said Sophomore Alec

It'll be the first time in the Sweet 16 for this senior class, and students are hoping for something special.

Villanova and Miami square off on Thursday.
