Hundreds Pay Their Respects To Fallen NJ State Trooper

CINNAMINSON, N.J. (CBS) - Hundreds of family, friends and fellow police officers gathered at Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Burlington County Sunday to pay their respects to New Jersey State Trooper Sean Cullen, who was killed last week.

His funeral is set for noon Monday.

American flags and blue ribbons lined the Cinnaminson streets where Trooper Sean Cullen grew up.

He was responding to a crash last week on 295 in Deptford Township, when he was struck and killed by a car.

"He was fulfilling his duty, as we are expected to do," President of the New Jersey State Trooper's union Christopher Burgos says.

Burgos came out to the viewing to give a final salute to the fallen hero:

"As one of my members, for almost two years that he was a trooper, you know the honor, duty, fidelity that we live by, he fulfilled that role at the highest levels for the time he was with us."

Cullen leaves behind a child, with another on the way. The 31-year-old was set to marry his long-time girlfriend in April.

"He was with us way too short and his memory will not be forgotten," Burgos says.

A GoFundMe page for his family has been set up. So far, it has raised more $125,000.
