Celebrate An American Favorite On National Oreo Cookie Day
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Grab a glass of milk. It is time to celebrate National Oreo Cookie Day.
The day is recognized across the nation each year on March 6.
Nabisco introduced its most popular cookie in 1912. Since then, it has become the best selling cookie in the United States.
Now while it has gone through a few changes over the years, it's still the same sandwich cookie loved by millions. Some choose to eat the middle first or add more of the filling.
The Oreo now includes a variety of flavors, but as to the name...that remains a mystery.
