Chester County Man Pleads Guilty To Taking "Up Skirt" Photo Of Woman On SEPTA Train

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A Chester County man has pleaded guilty to using his phone to take inappropriate pictures of women on a SEPTA train.

By pleading guilty to possession of an instrument of crime, 56-year-old Michael Tighe avoids a potential conviction of invasion of privacy, that would have forced the former Comcast executive to register as a sex offender for 15 years.

Instead, Tighe was sentenced to two years probation and he is banned from riding SEPTA trains during rush hour.

Tighe was arrested on September 18, accused of using his phone to snap a so-called "up skirt" photo of a woman as the two boarded a SEPTA Paoli-Thorndale train at the Strafford station.

Prosecutors say Tighe was spotted by another passenger. When police searched his phone, they say they found several other similar photos.
