Local 4th-Grader Makes Prime-Time Debut On Blue Bloods

BALA CYNWYD (CBS) -- A local boy made his prime-time debut on Friday night on the CBS series Blue Bloods. The 4th grader from Bala Cynwyd is climbing the acting ladder and the appearance on the show marked his first major credit.

Young Ben Snyder was in awe working with the cast of the hit show. In addition to being obsessed with acting, Snyder is obsessed with his hair and his little brothers. In fact, it was his little brothers that inspired Snyder to act.

"We have identical twins who were little and he saw them doing commercials and one of them had a family in the commercial and he said, 'well why can't I be the big brother in the commercial' so we said okay let's try it," said Ben's mother.

His success paved the way to his spot on Blue Bloods, in primetime on CBS.

One the people he was most in awe of working with on the show was Donnie Wahlberg. "In my mind I was like...such a legend," Snyder said of working with Wahlberg.

Now that Snyder has had a taste of the big-time, he wants more. He says his hope is to be in more episodes.

"I just want them to know what I'm capable of," Snyder said.
