State Police: I-95 SB Closed Following Crash In Newark, Del.

NEWARK, Del., (CBS) -- Delaware State Police say they are investigating a crash involving at least three vehicles on I-95 in Newark.

State Police say it happened at about 1:53 p.m. Tuesday on southbound I-95 in the area of the Christiana Road (DE Rt. 273).

The collision does involve injuries, however, the number of injured persons and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time, according to State Police.

State Police say I-95 southbound at Christiana Road is closed and traffic is being diverted onto the Churchman's Road exit.

Commuters are asked to find alternate means of travel around the crash scene.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
