Weather Blog: Many Locations Will Fall Below Freezing Overnight

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Sunshine and temperatures near 40° today put some serious melt on our 4th biggest snowstorm on record, but all of that slush and standing water will lead to the threat of re-freezing tonight. The good news is temperatures will not fall nearly as quickly this evening as last, but overnight many locations, particularly the north and west suburbs will fall below-freezing -- this will yield many icy patches and slick spots on the roads and sidewalks tonight and early tomorrow morning.

Warmer, more moist air builds in for our Tuesday. We start with a bit of sunshine, but become cloudy and foggy as the day progresses. High temperatures set to top above average in the mid 40's. Scattered light rain showers are possible with a cold front late day tomorrow with arrival time looking to be in the evening mainly after the PM commute.

You may be hearing some murmurings about another potential snowstorm by week's end, and to put your SNOW-verwhelmed minds at ease -- models do indicate the development of a coastal storm but a majority of the models keep the system off-shore with little to no impact here in the Delaware Valley.
