What To Know When Recycling Your Christmas Tree
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The holidays have come and gone, and now it's time to take down the decorations, so what do you do about you Christmas tree?
Most counties in the area have recycling programs for o-tannenbaum.
In Philadelphia, there are 23 drop off centers throughout the city, where people can bring their trees to be recycled into mulch or compost. But if you leave it on your curb for the Philly garbage truck, it will become, well, trash.
Suburb towns in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey have designated holiday tree pickup days.
Either way, if you plan to 'TREEcycle,' make sure to take down all the lights and tinsel, and save it for next Christmas.
