Some Shops Offering Sales On Winter Gear Due To Mild Weather

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., (CBS) -- Another warm, wet day in the area and local ski shops are wondering what to do with all that cold weather gear.

There are deals to be had this winter says Jeff Cassano, marketing manager at Buckman's Ski Shops.

"We've been doing some promotions that normally we would hold off until late February or middle of March to do and start pushing out some of those promotions earlier in the season just to try and get some traffic in the stores, we still do well with seasonal rentals, people still came in in October and took care of those as usual."

Buckman's is only open October through March so there's not much selling time. Cassano says he can't remember a recent year that was so wet and mild, preventing local mountains from opening with manmade snow.
