Cops: Suspicious Item In Delaware Determined To Be 'Non-Explosive'

LEWES, Del. (CBS) -- Officials in Delaware have determined that a suspicious item discovered in a shopping cart is non-explosive.

The item in question was discovered outside of the Lowe's on Plantations Road in Lewes.

Police say the Delaware State Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit examined and removed the item, which was determined to be a piece of PVC pipe with two end caps.

Lowe's has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
