First Day Of Winter Looks More Like Spring

And even *warmer* weather is on the way for the holiday!
It's December 21st and the Crystal Clear Signature Pool Company is hard at work, installing a swimming pool in one Newtown backyard.
Yes, Santa is delivering a swimming pool to this Bucks County family for Christmas, and it will be almost warm enough to enjoy a pool this holiday.
A run at record temperatures, with no snow in sight, helps speed up the construction of this project.
Why the sustained warmth? The overall jet stream pattern has been stuck up to the north, keeping the cold air locked in Canada.
And there's no snow cover. Snow reflects the sun's rays back into the atmosphere, keeping it cool.
No snow means the rays reach the ground, making conditions perfect for pool construction.
As for the pool, it won't be ready for a balmy Christmas Eve swim, but it will be good to go this Spring, when the warm weather comes to stay.
