Judge Finds Rapper Meek Mill Guilty Of Probation Violations

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Meek Mill, the rapper boyfriend of singer Nicki Minaj, faces a potential prison sentence early next year.

Judge Genece Brinkley issued 28-year-old Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, a technical parole violation after he repeatedly ignored travel and other rules she set for him in recent years.

Judge Brinkley told the court she doesn't know if she will keep the rapper on probation.

She says she will take in consideration from all the witnesses that testified including Minaj, who told the judge she will help him avoid jail.

The sentencing hearing has been deferred to February 5th.

He will not be allowed to travel outside the Philadelphia area before then and will undergo three urine tests before his next court date.

He is also not permitted to work during that time.

Williams' has been in from of Judge Brinkley on several occasions.

In 2008 he was convicted on for gun and firearm violations.

This technical parole violation is the 4th since that time.
