Week 14: Eagles Studs And Duds

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's funny how drastically things change from week-to-week in the NFL.

One week your team has lost three straight games, allowing 90 combined points in back-to-back games. The coach needs to be "fired" and all the players "quit."

Two weeks, that same team has won two straight games in December and controls its own destiny for a division championships -- which would be said coach's second in three years.

Duds

3. Ryan Mathews

Thanks to the suspect play of Demarco Murray, we all yearned for the return of Mathews -- who missed three games with a concussion. Mathews, who entered the game averaging over five yards per carry, carried the ball 13 times for just 38 yards (2.9 average). We didn't see that explosive player we hoped we would, granted it was his first game back from injury.

2. Bennie Logan

I love Bennie Logan and he was dominating against the run early in the season. However, Logan had just two tackles. He has just three in last two games and no tackles for losses.

1. Eagles WRs

They still stink! Nelson Agholor (who did catch his first career touchdown...in Week 14!), Josh Huff, Riley Cooper, and Jordan Matthews combined for 11 catches on 20 targets. Countless drops, too.

Studs

3. Zach Ertz

Ertz led the team with seven receptions and 98 yards, the second-highest total of his career. His day was highlighted by his 41-yard "get off me" catch and run.

2. Sam Bradford

Bradford dealt with drops and bad receiver play, but played one of his best and most accurate games as an Eagle.

23-38, 247 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception (that wasn't really an interception), and just one sack taken. He's becoming a leader and the guy we hoped he was.

1. Fletcher Cox

Cox is clearly the most dominant player on the Eagles. On Sunday, he had eight tackles (seven solo), two for a loss, a quarterback hit, and a sack. He's a sure-fire Pro Bowler this year.
