Nik Stauskas Hasn't Had A Cheesesteak And Never Heard Of Wawa
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Barstool Sports' "The Life," series featured Sixers guard Nik Stauskas this week. The feature took place in Stauskas' new Philly apartment where the first-year Sixer shed light on what he's been eating (and not eating) since moving to Philadelphia, his Canadian roots and his fandom of Justin Bieber.
Here are some of the highlights of what the Barstool feature taught us about "Sauce."
Stauskas Hasn't Had A Cheesesteak And Doesn't Know What Wawa Is:
If there are two things that Stauskas should have been schooled on from day one in our city, it should have been where to get a quality cheesesteak and where the closest Wawa is located.
"No cheesesteaks yet," Stauskas said. "Haven't had a cheesesteak since I've been here."
As for Wawa..."Never heard of Wawa -- No one's told me about Wawa before." At least Stauskas must have known about hoagie's right?
"It's some kind of hot dog?" No Nik....it's not.
Stauskas (from Canada) Doesn't Like Hockey....Or Football:
Perhaps it's a rash assumption to think that just because you're from Canada, you must like hockey. Well, the stereotype is certainly proven wrong with Stauskas who is not at all a fan of hockey. In fact, he can barely stand to watch the sport.
"It's so boring," Stauskas said of hockey. "One of the more boring sports I've ever watched in my entire life," he added with emphasis.
But surely, he must support the Flyers in his new city, right?
"I was invited to a Flyers game, but I turned down the offer," Stauskas said. By the way, he added that he doesn't like football either and hasn't been to an Eagles game.

So, while he doesn't like the most popular sport in his country, at least he supports one of the biggest musical acts...no, not Drake. Stauskas is a big supporter of his fellow countryman, Justin Bieber and was wildly anticipating his latest album, Purpose (I'd recommend it).
Stauskas Is Excited To Win In Philadelphia:
No team is getting the whole winning thing right in Philly right now, but Stauskas expressed that he can't wait to see what this town is like when it's getting behind a winning team.
"They love their sports here," Stauskas said. "I heard it would be unreal," he said of winning in Philadelphia. "From the days that A.I. was here, you kind of just saw the support the fans were giving and how passionate they were."
