Flyers Take On Islanders Tonight Up In Brooklyn

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Flyers will look to win back-to-back games for the first time in more than a month tonight as they visit the New York Islanders up in Brooklyn.

The Flyers took care of Carolina on Monday at the Center, winning in overtime, 3-2. The last time the Flyers won two straight games was back on October 21st & 24th.

Overall this season, Philadelphia is 7-9-5 and with 19 points they currently sit sixth in the eight team Metropolitan Division.

The Islanders are 10-8-3. Their 23 points have them tied for fourth place in the Metro. New York's lost two straight coming in, both losses coming at the hands of Montreal.

Steve Mason will get the start in net tonight for the Flyers.

This will be the first of five meetings between these two teams this season.
