Week 11: Eagles Studs And Duds

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Rock bottom.

We've hit rock bottom.

After a 45-17 blowout loss at home against the Tampa Bay Bucs, finding three studs for this post is almost insulting. But I'll try.

Duds

3. Mark Sanchez

Sanchez started 5-5 with a 39-yard touchdown to Josh Huff and also showed his mobility with a beautiful read-option 11 yard keeper on a 2nd-and-long.

Then he turned into Sanchez, finishing with 261 yards passing, 2 touchdowns, and three interceptions. Yuck.

2. Kiko Alonso

This guy is on my nerves. We expected big things from Alonso. Has he made a play all season other than the interception against the Falcons in Week 1? On Sunday, Alonso HAD ONE TACKLE.

One.

Tackle.

1. Nolan Carroll

Carroll was beat for ALL THREE of the Bucs' first three touchdown passes. That's tough to do even if you tried.

Here's the second one. The Eagles are in man coverage with single-high safety help, shaded to Carroll's side. Carroll, for whatever reason, is about eight-yards off of Vincent Jackson who catches an uncontested slant for a touchdown.

Studs

3. Jordan Hicks

I know he didn't play, but his value and worth is becoming more and more evident! The Eagles allowed 283 rushing yards. Kiko Alonso, Brandon Graham, and DeMeco Ryans combined for FIVE tackles.

2. Brent Celek

Celek led the Birds with seven catches and 79 receiving yards, but I don't know if that's indicative of Celek's good play, or the horrendous play of the other Eagles wide receivers.

1. Connor Barwin

Barwin had six tackles, a tackle for a loss, two QB hits, and two passes batted down---one of which he should have intercepted.
