PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's the busiest travel week of the year. The Philadelphia Fire and Police Departments joined Mothers Against Drunk Driving Monday to launch their campaign for holiday driving safety.
Malcolm Friend is with the non-profit MADD, known as Mothers Against Drunk Driving, which works to protect the public and keep drivers sober on the roads.
"Tying on a red ribbon is a reminder to drivers to not drive drunk this holiday season. Tie one on, for safety," said Friend.
The organization partnered with the Philadelphia Fire and Police Departments to encorage area drivers to add a red ribbon to their car.
Friend says by adding the red ribbon, you promise to stay safe on the roads, drive sober and wear a seatbelt.
"We want very much to be focused on this time of the year, it's the most dangerous time on the road for drunk and drug impaired drivers," said Friend.
This is the 29th year of the campaign.
